5.48pm - Speculation grows the situation could take as long as three more days to resolve although some experts believe the situation could be concluded by lunchtime tomorrow.

4.46pm - With 5pm rapidly approaching, it is becoming increasingly unlikely KPMG will make any announcement on the future of Leeds United until tomorrow. Check back for updates.

3.24pm - The YEP can confirm that the fight for ownership of Leeds United is at least a three horse race. It had been reported it was a straight fight between Ken Bates and the joint offer from Redbus and Simon Morris, but the YEP can reveal there is at least one more bidder.

2.35pm - Latest indications are that there are four bids on the table.

1.52pm - There is mounting speculation that there are more bids on the table than originally anticipated.

1.40pm - A decision on the sale of Leeds United looks increasingly likely to be made tomorrow. KPMG are considering a "decent number" of bids in front of them but are not thought to be poised for an imminent announcement.

12.53pm - KPMG's Richard Fleming issues the following statement: "We are continuing to evaluate the expressions of interest received and will make a further announcement in due course. We appreciate that there is a great deal of interest in the outcome and will take our decision in the best interests of creditors to ensure the best future for the club."

12.39pm - speculation mounts among fans and media about when KPMG will announce the winner of the bidding war.

12.26pm - 'deadline' for bidders to deliver proof of funds has passed with no word from KPMG.

11.19am - Fresh doubt cast on
whether there will be any announcement today regarding ownership of the club. KPMG say they are still considering the bids but will not specify the number of offers on the table.

kohalik maksuamet viis asja eelmisel korral kohtusse põhjusel, et Onu Ken'i pakkumine ei olnud parim ja suruti läbi selliste kreeditoride toel, kelle seos ostjaga oli ilmne (kuigi tõestamatu). nüüd korraldas siis KPMG uue pakkumistevooru ja valis sealt siis mingite kriteeriumite põhjal parima välja. see ei pruugi küll olla maksuameti jaoks parim valik, aga pankrotihaldur ei peagi ju lähtuma ühe kreeditori huvide parimast võimalikust kaitsmisest vaid tagama ka näiteks klubi tegevuse jätkumise jne. seega ei tohiks maksuametil nagu midagi eriti vaielda olla. samuti on asi ilmselt ka suht JOKK. seega ma oletaks tänasel hetkel, et äkki nad ikka ei vaidlusta, või vähemalt teevad nad seda moel, et see ei ohusta klubi edasist eksistentsi liigajalgpalli klubina.

lisaks saan ma aru, et enne kuulus vaidlustamisele niiöelda "klubi ostmine Batesi poolt" (mingi selle protsessi osa siis). nüüd kuuluks siis vaidlustamisele KPMG poolt tehtud valik. seega peaks maksuamet vaidlema suure konsultatsioonifirmaga, ja selle vaidluse tulemus on prognoositav.

Su spekulatsiooni tõeväärtus on sel korral ilmselt võrdlemisi suur. Vaidlustada saabki ainult KPMG otsust (noh, nii maksuamet kui teised pakkujad võivad seda teha) aga see saab siiski keeruline olema, kuna KPMG ei kavatsegi lähiajal (?) avaldada Batesi pakkumise sisu. Aga kuna Batesil polnud taganeda kusagile, on see üsnagi ootuspärane, et tema pakkumine oli parim.
