Pasi Rautiainen is a player legend from HJK Helsinki. A talented forward who made a professional career in Germany. Was signed by Bayer München but made his German career with Arminia Bielefeld.
As a coach Rautiainen has never worked for HJK, but smaller and less prestigous Helsinki area clubs. He took suburban club PK-35 from lower divisions to the top. PK-35 was later acquired by Finnish sports mogul Hjallis Harkimo who changed the name to FC Jokerit. With his two seasons in the newly named club, Rautiainen took the Finnish cup and silver medal once. In his search for fortune and fame, Harkimo sacked hard-working bohemian Rautiainen and replaced him with Dutch outcast Jan Everse which resulted with the relegation of the young club. Last season Rautiainen worked as a coach for legendary KTP Kotka, who were promoted to first division after severe financial crisis of the previous season.
Rautiainen is known for his iron discipline and intense physical exercises. He is loved and hated by the players, but as the saying goes "if you can survive Rautiainen's fitness season you can survive anything". I would assume that the fat guy playing for you will get considerably thinner during the cause of winter. He usually chooses for 3-5-2 and prefers a German style of football. Rumour goes that Rautiainen was also a candidate for HJK next season but when the manager Tuomo Saarnio held a vote among players nearly half of them declined Rautiainen.
Nonetheless, Pasi is also known to be a fair sportsman and he only expects from players what he expects from himself. After PK-35 was promoted (or was it season after?) Pasi took his bike and drove from Rovaniemi (or Oulu)to Helsinki, nearly 1000 km, in the middle of the winter. That was because he had made a bet with his player and dear friend Petri Helin (now Stockport County). A true football personality who will surely be loved and hated where ever he goes to.

Pasi Rautiainen has personality more than the rest of the world combined to exaggerate a bit. You've already got a hint of his character, I see. I can tell you you've seen nothing yet. Here's one example of his verbal abilities:
Rautiainen was coaching FC Jokerit in Finland and was in a press conference after the game. His player Martin Reynders had scored twice in the previous game, but had been virtually non-existent on the pitch otherwise. The press asked Rautiainen whether he was concerned about this. The answer was "If you score twice, you can spend the rest of the time scratching your balls as far as I'm concerned."
jne.
