NEWCASTLE’S Charles N’Zogbia and Andy Carroll were involved in a furious training-ground punch-up.
The Toon duo came to blows after rookie hitman Carroll tackled the wantaway Frenchman at Newcastle’s Benton HQ.
Geordie-born Carroll, 20, took the brunt of N’Zogbia’s fury and a Newcastle insider said: “All hell broke loose and it was not nice. Punches were flying.
“First we had Joey Barton and Jose Enrique fighting on the pitch at Blackburn, and now this. “It just shows what state morale is.”
The shocking incident came just hours after boss Joe Kinnear was hit with yet another FA charge for his bust-up with Hull boss Phil Brown last Tuesday.
Kinnear, who already has two other charges hanging over him, faces a minimum three-match touchline ban.
Soho Square chiefs are fed up with Kinnear’s behaviour since he tookcharge in September and are ready to throw the book at him.
He has until Febuary 3 to reply to the latest rap but is already in the dock after asking for personal hearings over charges for calling ref Martin Atkinson “Mickey Mouse” after losing at Fulham in November and his sending off against Stoke three weeks later.
Kinnear is also having a nightmare on the transfer front despite being given £10million to spend by owner Mike Ashley.
Toon badly need new faces for their relegation battle. But Kinnear has so far brought no one, only giving a trial to Rangers discard Peter Lovenkrands.
