Liga Adelante algus on hetkeseisuga viibimas, sest kohus käskis LFP-l Real Murcia liigasse tagasi võtta ning hetkel valitseb pehmelt öeldes suur segadus. Hetkel mõneti sarnane olukord Prantsusmaal Ligue 2-s toimuvaga ja 23 meeskonnaga liiga ei tule arvatavasti kuidagi kõne alla.
Lisaks Hispaania tugevuselt teisest liigast veel selliseid uudiseid, et RCD Mallorca uueks peatreeneriks on määratud Valeri Karpin.
A Spanish judge has declared that Real Murcia's demotion to Segunda B, the third tier, should be reversed because the club's ability to pay off its debtors hinges on staying in the second division (Segunda A).
The judge's reasoning is that Murcia dropping into non-league football would mean an end to TV rights revenue, reduce the value of their assets - including the transfer fees of any players they offload - and in all likelihood lead to a decrease in the number of season-ticket holders, all of which would further hinder the club in its insolvency proceedings.
As such, the judge has backed Murcia's claim to put the freeze on their demotion. In the operative paragraphs of his ruling, the judge claims that "few cases are as clear-cut" as this one. "The company that has requested this measure is facing bankruptcy proceedings and not taking part in professional football (Segunda B) would - as they have documented - lead to a loss of revenue, undermining the club's financial viability and rendering them unable to honour the agreement with their creditors", he states.
Nevertheless, the Spanish Professional Football League (LFP) has rejected this argument, stating that Murcia will not be reinstated to the Liga Adelante "under any circumstances" and reiterating that the punishment handed out to the club had been the result of "repeated serious breaches of the league's Articles of Association".
