Anger as Dan joins rivals Leeds

Dan Hardingis leaving Albion and signing for their Championship rivals Leeds United.

The Elland Road club today confirmed they had reached agreement with the England under-21 left back, who stalled on signing a new deal with the Seagullsat the end of last season.

Albion are entitled to a fee, which could be decided at a transfer tribunal but boss Mark McGhee fears his club could be short-changed.

McGhee said: \"We are not going to get full value for Dan Harding now.

\"It will go to a tribunal unless we can negotiate with Leeds but even that will not be his full value.

\"Our best bet could be to argue a case at a tribunal for a few add-ons.\"

Leeds are believed to have beaten Rangers to Harding\'s signature but McGhee was angry the playerdid not keep him up to date with proceedings.

He added: \"I\'m very disappointed, not just for me but also the chairman and everyone else at the club who has looked after him.


\"Most of what we are hearing is through the newspapers and second and third hand.

\"I totally understand his motivation. He wants to earn more money but I think he should have treated us a bit better.\"

McGhee added: \"He seems to have made up his mind.

\"We would take him back, make no mistake about that, but we\'ve not even spoken to him.

\"He told me he would come back to me before he made his decision but now I hear he is talking to Leeds.

\"I\'m also very disappointed in (Leeds manager) Kevin Blackwell because he has not phoned me to say they are talking to him or that they want him.

\"That\'s not the way I would do things but I suppose that\'s the game we are in.\"

McGhee is now likely to add a leftback to his wanted list, although, he already has cover for the position in Kerry Mayo, who recently signed a new one-year deal.

Ahoi, täna siis selgus, et üht Brightoni mängu saab hooaja esimesel poolel vaadata ka televiisorikasti seest ja millist sellist koguni: selleks tõsteti 19. novembrilt pühapäeva 20. novembri peale matš Crystal Palace\'iga Withdeanil. Magus.

Carling Cupi esimeses ringis kohtutakse aga 22. augustil League 2 meeskonnaga Shewsbury Town, kes on mõnel eelneval aastal karikasarjades päris hüva mängu näidanud. Mäng leiab aset võõrsil.

Kazim-Richards agrees to Brighton move

Young striker Colin Kazim-Richards is ready to sign for Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion with the fee to be decided by tribunal. The teenager rejected Bury\'s offer of a new two year deal.

18 year old forward Colin Kazim-Richards will sign for Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday.

The teenager rejected Bury\'s offer of a new 2 year deal in favour of a move up the football league and perhaps a preference for a club closer to his London roots.

Hitting form at the end of last season, Kazim-Richards impressed numerous clubs throughout the football league as he held down a place in the Shakers starting eleven. The likes of Charlton Athletic and Southampton had been rumoured to be keeping a close eye on the talented youngster who made his Bury debut in the 3-1 LDV Vans defeat at Stockport County last year.

The fee is likely to be decided by a tribunal and the transfer makes him the second Bury forward in six months to depart for a Championship club following David Nugent\'s move to Preston North End. The Shakers directors had rejected an offer for him from Leicester City earlier last season hoping that he would agree terms with the club. It is expected that Bury will receive more via the tribunal than they would have from the Foxes offer.

The club have replaced Kazim-Richards and Chris Porter, now with Oldham Athletic with MK Dons striker Allan Smart and Tom Youngs who signed yesterday from Leyton Orient.
