Mis siis uudist vahepeal? Andy Johnson kardab jällegi ja teeskleb vigastust. McShane jääb kaartide tõttu kõrvale ja tema kohale asub Adam El-Abd. Vigastustest on enam-vähem paranenud Dodd, Oatway ja Jarrett, kellest platsile saab algkoosseisus nähtavasti vaid üks. Leon on ka tagasi starting lineupis, vahepeal lõi reservide eest ka ühe värava (njah... penaltist). Ja McGhee käib Iirimaal mängijaid otsimas. Paul McShane is suffering from suspected ankle ligament damage


Albion have been plunged into a centre-half crisis by a long-term injury to Paul McShane.

The youngster on loan from Manchester United suffered suspected ankle ligament damage in the first half of last night\'s 1-1 draw at Cardiff.

McShane was hurt as he landed after an aerial duel with Cardiff striker Cameron Jerome.

Manager Mark McGhee revealed: \"Paul has got a nasty one, ligament damage I think to his right ankle. Without any doubt he is looking at weeks out.

\"It\'s a massive blow for us and a massive blow to the lad. He is on loan, remember, not our player, and he has shown commitment to the cause way above the call of duty. We want him here in the long term and to help him back from this injury.\"

McGhee was already on the lookout for at least one and possibly two more centre-halves to bolster his squad before the setback for McShane, who is on loan until the end of the year.

His injury and a back injury which forced off Jason Dodd just 16 minutes into his comeback from ankle surgery took the gloss off another courageous Albion performance, capped by a wonder strike by substitute Colin Kazim-Richards 14 minutes from time to earn a point.

Kazim-Richards collected a pass from Paul Reid to rifle his third goal in his last 12 appearances.

He said: \"My first touch was good and everyone was telling me to strike it. Leon (Knight) said \'bang it\' and I just let it go. For me personally there is not a better feeling and we are happy to get a point. We could even have nicked it at the end.\"

Albion remain next to bottom ahead of Saturday\'s home game against Derby, who eased their relegation worries with a 2-1 win at Stoke.

See kolm kuud tundub olevat küll vaid esialgne prognoos, kuid sõna \'ligament\' seoses vigastusega ei tõota kunagi head. Niigi lühike pink saab igatahes seeläbi rohkem vastutust, nüüd oleks hädasti Hinshi tagasi vaja. Aga vara veel vist. Ja mis puutub McShane\'i, siis ei teagi, mida see talle tähendada võiks... tema võimalusi ManU-s see igatahes ei avarda ning kas see võimalikule üleminekule või pigem -tulekule kuidagi mõju avaldab... eks aeg näitab.

Kuipers on saadetud kuuks ajaks laenule Boston Unitedisse, et mees saaks mängupraktikat ning oleks tagasi tulles võimeline otse Brightoni väravasuule asuma, kui Blayney tagasi S\'otonisse läheb ja kui just Chaigneau end enne ei tõesta. Igatahes on Kuipersil juba üks mäng peetud. FA Cupi ta nende eest mõistetavatel põhjustel ei mängi.

Mark McCammon on pärast eemalolekut asunud treenima ning paari nädala jooksul võib teda oodata juba põhikoosseisu piirimaile.

Reservide eest on viimases kahes mängus mõlemas kaks kolli tagunud noor targetman Joe Gatting. Aasta-paar veel ja siis kuuleb temast kindlasti.

Nojah, asi on selles, et ükskõik, kes vastaseks tuleb, võib suure tõenäosusega panustada kaotuse peale... isegi Nuneaton Borough\' või Worcesteri vastu. Seega oleks rahalises mõttes oioioi kui palju magusam saada üks mainitud suurklubidest, lisaks veel loodetav ja säiluv upseti võimalus ning teleülekanded... Forestilt laenatu(d) värav, Buttersi värav, Buttersi väga vaieldav käsi, Blayney penaltitõrje (kaks mängu järjest!) ja parasjagu palju luhatud võimalusi (Deano, Alexis)... selline oli siis eline päev.

McGhee arvamus:
\"I think we\'ve been playing well but the 13 draws we\'ve had now don\'t help. Eight or nine of them we could and should have won. I\'m getting everything from those I have but we\'re a couple of lads short. We need a player to turn the 13 draws into six wins and then we would be in the top half.\"
