I mean, what did the "most sympathetic team in Europe, the symbol of fair and entertaining football" do when Motta was sent off for an incident that was created by a coward called Busquets? They were celebrating like they had scored. FIFA, do you really want to reward this? Is this what you want football to be? Cause sure as hell this is the signals you send out. Get serious, please. Football means a lot to a lot of people.

Sneijder was the difference between no trophies and three trophies for Inter last year, he was top goal scorer in the World Cup and he set up Robben for what should've been the winning goal for Holland. Think of it, the only reason Sneijder is not nominated might be because Robben missed that chance 1 v 1 with Casillas, while the only reason Iniesta is there is because he happened to score the only of the WC final. Or is it just politics? Would it have mattered if Robben scored and Holland won the WC?

And I haven't forgot that Milito wasn't included in the 50-man shortlist either. Milito was as important for the Scudetto as Messi was for Barcelona's title. At the WC the only difference was that Messi played and Milito didn't, still they created equally much for Argentina (read: nothing). While Messi was going AWOL, Milito decided the domestic cup in Inter's favour and scored decisive goals in every knock-out stage in CL, most importantly deciding the final singlehandedly.

This signals the end of the prestigious Ballon d'Or prize and marks the continuation of FIFA worthless prizing of whoever they like the best at the time.
