As a team that represents Bosnia and Herzegovina in international competitions and a team that has done a lot to popularize women's football in our country, we feel the need and responsibility to speak up after today's game.
We show respect for our opponents by giving our maximum in every game and always looking for a goal more, because we are athletes who want to show their opponents the best version of themselves when they go out on the field. We want to transfer the daily hard work on the trenches to games and constantly compete to progress. Despite this, SFK 2000 Sarajevo has many times adjusted its starting composition, tactics, strategy and energy in matches similar to today's one, so as not to be made anti-advertising for this sport. That's how it was today, where our team performed in a much younger lineup, not wanting to objectively face much weaker guests at full strength. However, today's performance of Drina from Zvornik against our club is exactly the opposite of the words fair-play, competitive spirit and common sense of sport. The disrespect shown by the guests does not go hand in hand with the efforts to improve football and apart from disrespecting SFK 2000 Sarajevo as the host club, the same disrespect shown towards the other participants of the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina for women, to the organizer so movements and in general the sport we do.
Guests from Zvornik performed in a rejuvenated lineup, which is not a problem, as much as the problem is the absolute absence of motives and desire to play the game in its competitive sense. The girls, who are not to blame for this situation, did not move on the field almost at all, and neither was there a reaction from coach Drina that would correct, motivate or direct their team's game. The second half started with just 8 players on the field, although there was no valid medical or other reason for such a move. Today we witnessed the complete indolence of the visiting team and it was rightly gained the impression that ŽNK Drina came to Sarajevo "the queue is working", to play the match regardless of its effect, and all with the intention of avoiding certain disciplinary penalties because of the possible non-show.
We would like to point out that we are sincerely sorry for the young football players of Drina, who did not reach the Premier League rank of the competition, but the only ones who did not take care of those girls today is the leadership of ŽFK Drina. Our club is led solely by sports interests, and this cannot be said for the managers of today's opponents, who allowed their team to perform with this attitude to the game, and who should focus their efforts towards improving the training process with and the development of their toys. We have to point out that regardless of the results achieved, all teams are participants of the highest ranking in Bosnia and Herzegovina. women's football earn an equal amount of revenue for their performances, and among the clubs are obviously individuals who use the competition only and exclusively to generate income, regardless of the sporting effect.
