Hästi mängis tegelikult, sest ajas koguaeg kaitsjad surve alla eespool. Ja sellest tekkisid ka mõned ohtlikud rünnakud.

Ojamaa siis välja, mhmh no see 1 sööt Jon Mackenile oli küll hea esimesel poolajal, macken ei suutnud pallile aint pihta saada, muidu vahel natuke rabe tundus hendrik, samas see ka tema esimene mäng alles küll kosub, aga püüdis ja näitas teravust, kommentaatorid isegi mainisid et tal natuke kiirust on

Derby-fänni ülevaade mängust nende foorumis:

A couple of hundred Chelsea fans were joined by a dozen or so Rams fans in the main stand at Griffin Park, home of Brentford FC. Mourinho sat in the upper half of the stand, Craig Brown was taking notes and texting from the Paddock, Gordon Guthrie the ever-faithful was there too - has he ever missed a Rams first-team or reserves game?

A slow start saw Chelsea pinnng the Rams well into their own half for the first 10 minutes, the Blues keeper enjoying the last of the September sunshine. In central defence, Jonno jumped strongly and dealt well with balls from the centre of midfield, although Fabio Ferreira for the Blues was able to make too much progress down the right flank against Jason Beardsley and threatened with quality deliveries into the box.

Macken played as the target man, doing fairly well to be honest, providing knock-downs and flick-ons for the lively Henrik Ojamaa, who played up alongside him in the first half, and the Rams started to have their share of the game. Chelsea continued to menace however and we conceded the first goal on 21 mins, a cracking shot from 20 yards out on the left, Hinchcliffe well beaten. From a deeper position Henrik Ojamaa played a nice ball from the left of midfield towards Macken on the right-hand side of the box to give our best chance of the half, but sweet first touches are not his strong point and the ball spun harmlessly wide.

As the half progressed we did have our share of the ball, but too often we gave the ball away cheaply, either through misplaced passes or by the more eager Chelsea midfield dispossessing us, and the 1-0 half time score seemed just about fair.

In the second half, Paris Simmons swapped his left midfield role with Ojamaa to give a different attacking approach, but the half started badly, as the Rams conceded a soft goal, a header that Derby should have defended better.

Chelsea built more attacks down the left hand side, Edworthy was sold a couple of sweet dummies, but their final ball wasn't good enough to cause any serious problems for Jonno and Miles Addison, who played well in central defence. The Rams seemed to cut back slightly on the long ball in the second half, Macken having less of the game, and Simmons tried to carry the ball past players. He showed some neat turns and touches and Mitch Hanson managed a good shot from the edge of the area that skimmed the top of the crossbar, as Derby matched Chelsea attack for attack. That shot came shortly before Chelsea's third goal, slotted home after a rebound into a crowd of players in the box.

With seconds of injury time remaining, Derby got a deserved consolation goal, as Hanson fired a neat shot from just inside the box after nice approach play.

All in all it was good to see the team in action, although I was disappointed that no-one on the pitch seemed to take any kind of leadership role to encourage more urgency in the team's play. In the first half Simmons was often too far away from his man when Chelsea attacked for example, and it was left to the coaches on the sidelines to tell the players to get close and pressure the opposition.

Hinchcliffe played well enough, although I would have liked him to do more for the second goal, Beardsley has good control and ball skills but needs to tighen up his marking, Edworthy did OK but should have talked to the younger lads more, Addison seems a strong central defender with decent ball skills to go with his height and strength, Jonno won most balls in the air but let himself down with poor distribution, Hanson worked well in midfield with a good balance of creative and defensive skills, Simmons is a skilful player but needs to work harder tracking back and moving into space to receive the ball, Mario Loesch doesn't look quick enough for this level although he worked hard, Macken is an old pro who would be great in League 1 or 2 working with the long ball game but not at our level, Richards worked hard and was always looking for the ball to him and Ojamaa showed decent ball skills while also chasing and putting the Chelsea defenders under pressure. Of the subs Greg Mills was my pick, showing pace, good ball skills and decent energy, Tyron Amory did OK as did Ujcik.

You won't find the solution to our current first team problems in the group of players that turned out last night, that's for sure, although it was encouraging to see that our academy continues to turn out good young players.

Reservimängus paraku kaotasime 1-3 aga mõnevõrra teenimatult, väärisime minu arvates viigipunkti vähemalt aga nad said esimese värava kauglöögist ja siis pidime veidi oma mängu avama jne. Ise mängisin ümmarguselt 70 minutit ja hiljem kordusest vaadates tundus et läks täitsa hästi, kuigi kohati oleks võinud rohkem palli saada. Järgmine reservimäng siis 18ndal Aston Villaga, noortemäng juba see laupäev Wolvesiga. Täna oli kolledž, sai veidi puhata ja jõudu koguda. Kodus puhates vaatan tavaliselt mõnda filmi või loen raamatut. Praegu siis Väino Linna "Sõjaromaan" käsil, täitsa huvitav.
