Mees lamab rannaliival ja päevitab. Ootamatult kuuleb ta salapärast häält endalt küsivat:
"Mees, mida sa praegu kõige rohkem tahaksid?"
Mees hüppab püsti ja vaatab ringi, kuid ei näe ümbruses ühtki hingelist. Ta heidab uuesti pikali, kuid mõne minuti pärast kuuleb taas sama häält. Mees avab silmad ja vaatab ringi, kuid seegi kord pole hingelistki näha.
"Noh, kas mõtlesid järele?" kuuleb mees endalt küsitavat. Ta mõtleb veel veidi ja ütleb:
"Tahan kannu õlut!"
Hetk hiljem ilmubki tema kõrvale kann õlut. Mees joob selle ära ja päevitab edasi. Mõne aja pärast küsib sama hääl:
"Ja mida sa veel tahaksid?"
"Ma tahan uut autot!"
Hetk hiljem näebki ta enda läheduses luksuslimusiini.
"Milline on su viimane soov?" küsib sama saladuslik hääl.
"Kes sa niisugune oled?" nõuab mees. "Kuldkalake või mis?" "Ma olen sinu deliirium!" ütleb salapärane hääl.Kommentaar
