Most likely you’ve heard of X3Player (or X3 Player) after downloading a movie from a fake torrent and when trying to play it you got the message “In order to view this movie you need to download and install X3Player from play.x3player.com”. Do not visit that website to download the supposedly most powerful media player that will decode all movies, because you’ll end up paying for being infected with a malware. If you visit play.x3player.com you’ll see they sell X3Player for “only” $1.98, but the only bargain you’ll receive is an infected computer.
X3Player might be a variant of other malware codec/media players such as 3wPlayer, DivoCodec, X3Codec or DomPlayer. These previous codecs/media players actually installed malware on a users’ computer, and they were advertised in the same manner as X3Player (meaning when trying to play a fake .avi file you could only play a few seconds, as the rest was “unlockable” only by downloading their malware codec).GEORGE: No, no, no! See on juba preference. Vanasti kasutasin ka BSP-d aga mingit varemat versiooni kus spyware-i juures pole, mida uuel on (Pole aastaid kasutand ehk enam pole?) ja MPC on hea, aga mulle ei meeldi.
