SIMON JORDAN has branded Birmingham chief executive Karen Brady a ’sh**-stirrer’ and insists he wouldn’t even sell a packet of crisps to Steve Bruce’s side.

The Crystal Palace chairman is fuming after accusing Brady of leaking information about her enquiry to sign Palace hotshot Andy Johnson.

The England international is being chased by a number of clubs following Palace’s relegation to the Championship having scored an incredible 21 goals in the top flight.

Jordan, who is also at war with Tottenham for trying to poach Palace winger Wayne Routledge, believes Birmingham are a bunch of clowns and Johnson is far too good to go to St Andrew’s.

He said: “Birmingham are a joke and I can’t take them seriously. They are nothing more than a bunch of clowns and have no idea.

“They lie, they don’t tell the truth and I wouldn’t sell Birmingham a packet of crisps. In any event Andy Johnson would never sign for Birmingham.

“This is a club that told him he wasn’t good enough, sold him a few years ago and whose manager labelled him a diver.

“Karen Brady is just a s**t-stirrer. She called me to enquire about Andy, I told her no and then she leaked the story.

Birmingham co-owner David Sullivan has threatened to sue Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan over an alleged verbal attack on the club and chief executive Karren Brady.

Outspoken Palace chief Jordan is reported to have hit out at Brady over an enquiry for Eagles ace Andrew Johnson, and now Sullivan is now ready to take action against Jordan.

\"We will be putting it in the hands of our solicitors and libel experts,\" Sullivan told The Sun.

\"I believe in free speech and this may just be one man\'s opinion. But I don\'t know why Simon Jordan wants to keep saying these things.

\"He seems to have criticised almost everyone in football. It strikes me he has a serious problem and needs to see an anger-management expert.\"

Birmingham co-owner David Gold echoed the sentiments of Sullivan hitting out at Jordan\'s antics.

\"He\'s carrying a bitter grudge and is acting like a man who\'s had an argument with his wife and taking 10 years to get over it,\" said Gold.

WAYWARD soccer star Jermaine Pennant was punched to the ground — after calling a girl’s boyfriend a “muppet.”

Pennant, 22, sparked the early hours bust-up after spotting the girl he fancied outside a McDonald’s on the holiday isle of Zante.

The £3million winger called out: “Alright darling. What are you doing with that muppet?”

But the boyfriend demanded he repeat the comment — and Pennant replied: “I called you a muppet.”

Without replying the man punched Pennant hard in the face and he fell to the ground.

The incident happened at 2am after Pennant and around 20 pals — including top footballers — spent the evening trawling bars and clubs in the resort of Laganas.

It was the first night of a two-week lads’ holiday for Pennant, who was freed from jail in April after drink-driving in his £65,000 Mercedes.

An onlooker said: “It was just outside McDonald’s in Laganas on the main strip. He’s out here with about 20 guys, lots of footballers.

“A guy was there with his girlfriend and Pennant turned around and said ‘hello darling — are you alright? What are you doing with that muppet?’

“The guy turned round — bang — hit him. And Jermaine went down.

“The guy looked round and realised it was all about to kick off and legged it.

“The gang all crowded around Pennant, picked him up, and then they headed back to their hotel.

“There’s loads of them out here. They’re just trawling around the bars at night drinking vodka red bulls.”

Pennant flew to the Greek island with mates including Celebrity Wrestling star Jeff Brazier and footballers Carlton Cole of Aston Villa and Tottenham’s Anthony Gardner and Paul Robinson. They are staying in the swish Hotel Zante in Laganas.

The bust-up will not go down well with Pennant’s bosses at Birmingham City — who signed him on a three-year contract with a strict warning to behave.

He was on loan to Birmingham from Arsenal when he was jailed for being two-and-a-half times the drink limit and having no insurance.

At the time of signing the contract Birmingham manager Steve Bruce said: “I think he appreciates that there is someone who is willing to try and help him rather than just wash their hands of him. He knows it’s his last chance but I’m confident he will not let me down.”

Pennant’s agent Sky Andrew last night said: “There’s people wanting to have a go at him because of what he’s been through.

“It’s like a Rooney scenario. Young lads are out to give them grief.”
