Antud Londoni väikeklubi on endale Aasias ja Ameerikas tekitanud arvestatava turu ning on nn. vana maailma absoluutsesse eliiti kuuluvate klubidega reklaami osas sammu pidamas. Samuti luuakse Indiatesse ja Indoneesiatesse uusi campe ja muid vingeid asju eelkõige toetajate ja sellega kaasneva lisaraha juurde võitmiseks. Mida on Newcastle´l vastu pakkuda?

Hakkab vaikselt pihta see laat ...

Further to the earlier reports that United had made all of their players available for transfer, The Times has now added the following:

Newcastle officials have distributed a definitive list of individuals they would prefer to move on at the earliest opportunity, in the hope that a core of the club’s best players can be retained for the Coca-Cola Championship campaign.

Managers at home and abroad have been told that a number of Newcastle players with considerable first-team experience are available for transfer with immediate effect.

The sale of Kevin Nolan, Joey Barton, Jonás Gutiérrez, Gérémi, José Enrique, Fabricio Coloccini, Obafemi Martins, Shola Ameobi and Xisco is seen as a priority.

We'd like to pass on our best wishes to whoever has the task of trying to get money in for that lot - let's hope that they succeed....and if you want to make it a full ten with Alan Smith, then you have our blessing.

The fixture list for our first non-top flight season since 1992/93 was revealed on Wednesday morning - and dashed the hopes of those Newcastle fans who were planning a weekend on the sauce at Blackpool.

Along with fixtures at Scunthorpe, Doncaster, Derby and Coventry, our trip to Bloomfield Road is scheduled for midweek. And the earliness of that game means that the new South Stand - due to open later in the season - won't be in use, meaning away supporters will be housed in the East Stand, with a sub-2,000 allocation.

Our first-ever visits to the current homes of Welsh duo Cardiff and Swansea come in September and February respectively (although the latter fixture does fall on FA Cup Fifth Round day.)

And a drop in division has done nothing to end the recent custom of our playing away on Boxing Day, with a visit to Hillsborough our eighth successive Dec 26 road trip.

The marathon trek to Plymouth is at least slotted in at the back end of the season this time (rather than the pair of pre-Christmas games we once endured down there). That's an 832 mile round trip from the Strawberry....

Looking at home games, not counting bank holidays, five of our 23 SJP league outings are scheduled for midweek (Wednesdays).

As ever, all fixtures are subject to alteration for live TV transmission, with SkySports and the BBC sharing rights to show the Championship this season.

NEWCASTLE United can confirm that they will tackle three English opponents as part of their pre-season preparations ahead of the 2009/10 Coca-Cola Championship campaign.

The first of those matches will see the Geordies make the short trip down the A1 to take on League Two Darlington on Saturday, July 18 at the Northern Echo Darlington Arena (kick-off 12.30pm).

United are again on the road just three days later (Tuesday, July 21) when they face former Magpie Lee Clark's League One Huddersfield Town at the Galpharm Stadium (kick-off 7.45pm).

And the only home friendly of the summer will be against Leeds United on Wednesday, July 29 (kick-off 7.45pm).
