What do you think of Joel's ambition to play in a proper league again? Do players ever move away from MLS? I can't imagine the top-top leagues having scouts there but some decent European leagues might. Honestly, he has been almost too good for the MLS, right? And I know you can't really answer this one but if he were American would he be in the running for the MVP probably? Is he anyway?

and no, i dont want Lindpere to leave. behind Juan Pablo Angel, he is the crowd favorite. bigger than Henry and bigger than Marquez. everyone loves him in NY. i dont think he'll be in the running for MVP in MLS but definitely for "newcomer" of the year. but we have him under contract for 2 years plus an additional 2 club option years, so you could possibly see him in NY for another 3 seasons

i dont think that lindpere is playing horrible. I dont understand the gameplan. Marquez is playmaking, but he sucks at it. They dont use left flank at all. All the time long ball to Angel, but he aint 6ft3.

Second half was much better, but unfortunately it wasn't enough.. a header from Lindpere's corner cleared off the line in the last minute

Although imo Lindpere had a solid game.

I'm not afraid of Joel being sat on the bench. I'm just hoping Backe isn't developing a so called Osorio skill of tinkering around with the line-up until there is no gel between the players and everyone is playing out of position.

Cup is more important than winning the East in my opinion, so if Backe wants to have his final tests tonight, so be it. Lets go!
